Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World features a huge selection of fishing, hunting, camping, marine, clothing, gift and footwear items. The store features the areas largest boat center, offering such famous brands as Mako, Tracker, SeaCraft and more. Bass Pro Shops features in-store interactive sports such as fly-casting, rock climbing and a shooting arcade. Unique interior motifs such as waterfalls, 19,000 gallon aquarium and true-to-life wildlife exhibits are showcased throughout the store and have branded Bass Pro Shops as a visually appealing, high-quality outdoor store and attractions. FORT WOOL

This island fortress, dating to 1819, played important roles in the Civil War and in both World Wars. Although not accessible by car, it is easy to view from the Chesapeake Bay shore of Fort Monroe. Pleasure boaters may moor and explore Fort Wool year-round. Civil War reenactors man the fort on select weekends.

Take a spin on The Hampton Carousel and experience an American tradition. Built in 1920, the carousel has been completely restored to its original beauty and is housed in its own weather-protected pavilion on the city’s downtown waterfront. It is one of only 170 antique wooden merry-go-rounds still existing in the U.S. Rides $1.00 or $.50 with the purchase of a Virginia Air & Space Center ticket.

PENINSULA PILOTS

Come enjoy an evening at the ball park with the Peninsula Pilots. The Pilots keep fans enthralled throughout the summer season as they compete with 11 other teams in the Coastal Plains League.
