My child memories of the Zoo were small enclosures and not much there but in the London Zoo most of the animals have decent enclosures and there is loads to see.
Nex exhibitions, especially those you can walk around, are really nice; shame they didn't allow that in the Penguin enclosure.
There were a couple of species in the tanks that we couldnt see a label for, but everthing looked very healthy and shiny. They have obviousley put a lot of effort in, which is evident all around the Zoo. Good idea to put Zoo to the weekend vacation program, especially if you need to find some attractions for kids in London.

The aquarium section was fantastic, we were more impressed with the displays there, than at London Aquarium or the Sealife Centre. The marine displays contained live rock and live coral, whereas they have painted plastic at the sealife centre, London Zoo doesnt have any big fish like sharks or the turtles, but they more than make up for it by having the real coral and rock...

Take the train to Edinburgh from Queen St station Glasgow about an hour and the Castle is near Waverley Station plenty to see and do lots of historical places. Stirling Castle is great as well and is easy to get to by car from Glasgow or the train.

If you are staying in London for a week - invest in a Oyster card for the subway - it will save you a fortune and its a great way to get about-quickly! Get a small london map at the station with the underground routes-easy to follow. Make sure the first thing you do is to go up on "THE EYE" worth every penny. Buy "The Eye" postcard as it shows you all the sights you see as you go round [a big Ferris Wheel with carriages] you will be able to plan where you want to go and see just how close the places look-you can also show it to the family back home-make sure you have good comfortable shoes-you will do a lot of walking. Go to SOHO for a Chinese meal plenty to see and do-you will love the Globe! Buckingham Palace etc. go on the open top bus this is a great way to see the tourist sites.

Sydney has a beautiful temperate climate, and you can enjoy the city when it’s hot by visiting its world renowned beautiful beaches.
The Opera House is not only worth visiting plays - it's one of the most recognizable buildings on earth, which makes the skyline unique and recognizable.
Sydney has one of the world’s most spectacular settings, harbors, skylines, culture, arts, climate and entertainment.

Want to see smth around Thailand? Take a side trip to Cambodia and spend a couple of days doing the Angkor Wat complex - it's a great one. The complex is impressive. Angkor Wat is just one major temple, perhaps the most impressive, surrounded by a moat 1km on each side. There are in fact hundreds of temples within an area of several hundred square kilometres of jungle, some more accessible than others and some in a greater or lesser state of disarray.

What seems to distinguish the ruins around Angkor Wat from other impressive ruins, such as the Egyptian pyramids and the Great Wall of China, is the sheer amount of decorative sculpture, carvings and bas reliefs on almost every square inch of rock.

The fact that all this is set in a damp jungle environment where massive tree roots can be seen clinging to, and gradually breaking up the even more massive stone structures, creates a sense of dynamism and mystery.

If you go to Belfast, one thing to consider doing is booking a special taxi tour around the Catholic and Protestant areas of town and the wall in between the two. The taxi driver will be a member of one of those communities and will give you an insider's view of what happened and is happening there. You will also be taken to see some murals that you may not find on your own.

Visit Burren - it's very interesting and unusual - unlike anything u've seen. And if you are over that way, Cliffs of Moher are spectacular if the weather permits. Of course there is the Giants Causeway - popular tourist spot, but nothing like it. Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge is interesting too. Dunluce Castle is great too.

Try to find a map that identifies where the dolmens are and see if you can catch a couple of those on your trip - they're kind of neat. The Burren has a famous one: Poulnabrone Dolmen but there are many all over the country. Sligo has some beautiful countryside. Really you can't go wrong wherever you are.

There is also La Marais (2/3rd Arrondissement). In this area there is a good selection of very good restaurants and bars. Also, the Pompidou centre, Musee Carnivalet (Paris Museum), Place De Voges.

To round things off there is the Sacre Coeur and Montmartre (including the Moulin Rouge).

Nice idea to take a river trip as this gives an interesting view of the city, for example - Bateaux Parisien which goes from just outside the Eiffel Tower.

Off the beaten track there is Cemetry Pierre LaChaise which makes a nice day out if the weather is good. Further affield is Versaille, which is relatively easy to reach by train.

Comment on Transport from and to the airport of Prague by Mad Max

The public transport in Prague is well organized and efficient. Some say it’s the best organized public transport system in the whole wide world.

Prague traffic It perfectly covers even the furthest hidden corner of Prague almost non-stop. By “non-stop” we mean the fact that in Prague they have the so called “noční doprava” (night transport), that means buses and trams that run also during the night. The night transport system works in intervals of 15 minutes (around the center) and 30 minutes or more (towards the suburbs of Prague).

At peak hours (that is from 7 am – 9 am and 4 pm – 6 pm) the number of public vehicles is increased, so there is no reason to be afraid of crowding. Maps of the public transport system can be found all over the city, especially in underground stations or in their vicinity.

Prague tram What make it so efficient is the transparency of the system. The timetable of every tram, bus and even subway train is posted at every station, so one knows exactly at what time to expect their ride. More useful than that I personally find the Internet interactive timetable, where all you have to do is to introduce the station you want to get at and the computer gives you all the best connections with time and transit points if needed. Problem is when you don’t know the name of the station where you need to get…

Another plus is also the fact that when on the means of transport (tube, tram, bus, funicular) you get to hear the name of the current station and of the next. The only thing to remember here is just that “příští zastávka”(pzheeshtee zastavka) is the Czech term for “next station”.

French toasts for breakfast.
The sugar free splenda syrup is pretty good. Then I made a batch and added crumbled cooked pork sausage and that was even tastier. So today I'm so excited about french toast again, and not eggs, that I went one step further and made sausage gravy to put on top and just about died and went to heaven!

I just crumbled up two cooked sausage patties, added 2 tablespoons or so of cream and two teaspoons of splenda maple syrup and a little pepper and reduced it on the stove for a little while. It made enough for a batch of french toast and was so good. Since I just winged this the measurements are't exact.

If you need to rent a car in Milan - it is really hard to find parking in Milan, but for visiting the lakes etc it would be much easier to have a car.
It depends if you have a parking place where you live. Remember that parking is very expensive in Milan and hard to find.
Hire a car so that not constantly relying on public transport.
